Governor’s Office of Small, Minority & Women Business Affairs Collaborates with The Daily Record for 13 Consecutive Years to Support Entrepreneurs

The 2021 digital edition of the Expanding Opportunities magazine is now available to Maryland’s small business community. Now in its 13th year, this annual resource publication is a collaboration between the Governor’s Office of Small, Minority & Women Business Affairs and The Daily Record.

“Maryland is blessed with an abundance of resources for small business owners and entrepreneurs,” said Jimmy Rhee, Special Secretary of the Governor’s Office of Small, Minority & Women Business Affairs. “This annual publication gives us a platform to highlight many of the programs and people that help to support and grow this important economic ecosystem.”

Each edition includes small business success stories, tips from guest columnists, insights on navigating the state procurement arena, and feature stories that are relevant to the current marketplace.

“The Daily Record is proud to partner with the Governor’s Office of Small, Minority & Women Business Affairs for the 13th year to provide this valuable information to business professionals around the state of Maryland.  This online and print product provides an excellent resource for businesses to grow their business and learn how to pursue government contracts,” said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, senior group publisher of The Daily Record.

The Expanding Opportunities magazine garnered awards for The Daily Record in 2018 and 2020 from the MDDC (Maryland Delaware DC) Press Association in the Custom Publications category.
