The Wicomico County Board of Education is taking input for the 2022-2023 school year calendar through an online survey that will remain open until noon on Monday, Feb. 28.
At its monthly meeting on Feb. 8, the Board of Education had 1st reading on two draft calendars for the 2022-2023 school year, and directed that input be sought prior to the Board’s final vote to approve a calendar at its March 8 meeting. Calendar drafts A and B and an online survey are available in English, Spanish and Haitian Creole.
Both draft calendars would begin school on Tuesday, Sept. 6.
The Draft A calendar would have schools closed for Winter Break from Dec. 22-30, reopening on Monday, Jan. 2. The last day of school would be Friday, June 9.
The Draft B calendar would have schools closed for Winter Break from Dec. 19-30, reopening on Monday, Jan. 2. The last day of school would be Wednesday, June 14.
Stating a preference for Draft A or Draft B is required for the survey. Other calendar comments and suggestions may also be submitted through the survey.
