Salisbury University Art Galleries | Downtown Campus has an all-new solo exhibition on display entitled “DUSTY FUNK: Black Tundra” featuring the work of artist David Brame, a proudly black comics creator, afrofuturist, and scholar. His comic work explores issues of race and identity in the context of the American South, Black Gothica, mysticism, and the African diaspora. “DUSTY FUNK: Black Tundra” is a series of mixed media Art Experiences based on an evolving set of dynamic illustrations that comprise this Psychedelic Afro Future Space Opera and will be on display now through the end of October.
Salisbury Art Space, located just below Salisbury University Art Galleries, is also hosting opening receptions for new art exhibitions this month. “CHROMA” in the main gallery area explores the vibrant world of color through the eyes of the Salisbury area’s talented artists with submissions from all mediums. The Foyer Gallery and Robinson Galleries also feature solo exhibition highlights of the work of artist Jinsoon Oh, including “Dreamer’s Dream” and “Pickleball Friends”.
