Salisbury, MD – The Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore is currently seeking nominations for the 40 Under 40 in Philanthropy awards. The award celebrates those who give of time, talent, or treasure to charitable causes and inspire others to create a significant difference on the Lower Eastern Shore. Nominations are being accepted through May 15th at CFES.org/40u40.
To qualify, nominees should be under the age of 40 at some point during 2024 and should have reached their 21st birthday prior to the nomination deadline. The nominee’s philanthropic impact should occur in Somerset, Wicomico, and/or Worcester Counties. If a nominee works in nonprofit, their impact should be beyond the scope of the employment. Nominations will be selected by a committee and honorees will be notified via email by June 3rd.
“So often philanthropy is associated with retirees or established business professionals. Our hope is to celebrate the many ways younger generations are getting involved and giving back to the Lower Shore,” says CFES President Erica Joseph. “We are excited to highlight the future of philanthropy.”
