October 22, 2026 – OCEAN PINES, Md. — The Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore (CFES) has announced the opening of a second office at 11029 Racetrack Road, Suite 2, in Ocean Pines. A ribbon cutting was held on October 15. The office will initially operate on a modified schedule and be open Wednesdays from 8:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m..
Located in an annex of the First Shore Federal S & L Association building, the new office provides CFES a greater presence in the eastern portion of its three-county service area (Wicomico, Worcester and Somerset) and offers its donors, nonprofit leaders and community partners more convenient access to the Foundation’s philanthropic expertise.
“Being responsive means being accessible and available,” said Erica Joseph, CFES President. “Worcester County is an important part of that, and this new office allows us to be closer to the people and organizations we assist. It’s an expanded opportunity to build relationships and help our donors make meaningful differences in their communities.”
The Ocean Pines office is the next step in CFES’s continued growth and its commitment to being responsive to the evolving needs of Lower Shore donors, nonprofit leaders, and community partners.
Since 1984, it has served as the Lower Shore’s local philanthropic expert, helping individuals, families and businesses turn their charitable goals into lasting community impact. It recently distributed a record $346,263 in grant funding to 47 area nonprofits through its annual Community Needs grant cycle.
“It’s important to be where our donors are, where our nonprofit partners are and where conversations about growing the wellbeing of our communities are happening,” added Joseph.
