Salisbury, MD — Mountaire Farms presents the 78th Annual Salisbury Christmas Parade, hosted by the Salisbury Jaycees on Sunday, December 8. Rain date is Sunday, December 15. The Salisbury Jaycees Christmas Parade in partnership with the City of Salisbury will continue the parade at its familiar route ending at City Park on East Main Street. The Parade will begin at 1 p.m. at the corner of Civic Avenue and Mt. Hermon Road and continue down to East Main Street.
The Jaycees are pleased to announce WBOC’s Jimmy Hoppa as this year’s Christmas Parade Grand Marshal. Well known for his on-air coverage of local events and co-hosting role on DelmarvaLife, Jimmy also serves as a dedicated firefighter and chaplain for the Laurel Fire Department and as a volunteer chaplain at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital. Join them in celebrating Jimmy in his true spirit of service as he leads the parade.
Entries are still being accepted until Nov. 30th 2024. For applications and more information visit the Salisbury Jaycees’ Facebook page at www.facebook.com/salisburyjaycees. This year the Jaycees are also inviting past Jaycees members to walk with them in the Parade to capture the spirit of this year’s theme, “Retro Christmas”.
