9th Annual Disc Golf Tournament presented by RPS and Gallagher for United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore –

SALISBURY, MD – Risk Placement Services (RPS) and Gallagher presented the 9th Annual Disc Golf Tournament for United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore’s (UWLES’) Dolly Parton Imagination Library Program (IL) at Schumaker Pond Park on Friday, July 22nd.  30 teams and multiple sponsors joined RPS, Gallagher and UWLES braved the heat for a fun day on the disc course, with opportunities for networking, lunch and games while raising dollars for a great cause. Thanks to the support of this year’s sponsors and players, this was a record-breaking year, raising over $28,000 in support of United Way’s Imagination Library Program serving children birth to five on the Lower Eastern Shore.

“The impact of this event for the Imagination Library program has been incredible, raising nearly $150,000 over the past 9 years to support early childhood development.  We are so thankful for the partnership with RPS and Gallagher, and for all the supporters throughout the years, who have helped thousands of local children develop a love for reading and learning,” shared Pam Gregory, President and CEO of UWLES.

“The partnership between RPS, Gallagher and UWLES is so strong, and our local clients and industry partners really showed up once again, making this disc golf event the most successful one yet. It’s rewarding to know our collective efforts are making a real difference in Kindergarten Readiness scores for local students through the support of Imagination Library,” shared Steve Robinson, Area President & National Cyber Practice Leader for Risk Placement Services.

The day culminated in a presentation of awards with the top teams UHY LLP, WBOC, Tokio Marine and SVN Team 1.   Phil Messick of BBSI won the men’s closest to the pin and Jenna Tilghman with SVN won ladies ‘closest to the pin. WBOC’s Lindsey Briddell won the ladies’ longest drive, and men’s longest drive went to UHY’s Sean D’Armi. Several fun awards were also presented such as Best Team Costumes for Avery Hall Team 3 and BBSI, Lumberjack Award to APPI, Jacques Cousteau award to Avery Hall Team 2 and several others.
