The Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce is partnering with the Dorchester, Talbot, and Caroline Chambers of Commerce to present a forum for contested incumbents and their opposition in the primary elections for the Maryland House of Delegates in Districts 37A and 37B. The Government and Business Affairs Committee from the Salisbury Chamber will develop a series of questions pertaining to “hot button” issues and outcomes from the recent legislative session.
In District 37A, Delegate Sheree Sample-Hughes will face Reverend Charles Cephas, Sr. From District 37B, both Delegates Chris Adams and John Mautz will oppose Mimi Gedamu and Keith Graffius. Gedamu and Graffius are vying for either of the Delegates’ seat in the House.
Following the forum, candidates without primary contestants will have a brief opportunity to speak, without a question and answer session.
The event will take place on May 31, at 5:30 p.m. at the Vienna Community Hall, 104 Race Street
Vienna, MD 21869. It is free and open to the public. For more information contact the Salisbury Area Chamber Director of Events, Lauren Barnas, at 410.749.0144 or lbarnas@salisburyarea.com, or the Executive Director of the Dorchester Chamber, Bill Christopher, at 410.228.3575
