Let’s tell Maryland’s leaders that we want to fully realize the potential of offshore wind – a reliable, renewable source of energy that will bring thousands of new jobs to the state.

Currently, two new wind projects are under development in Federal water off of Maryland’s Atlantic coast. These projects would deliver economic, environmental, and public health benefits all across the state, including:

  • More than $1.8 billion of in-state spending
  • A total of nearly 9,700 new full time equivalent Maryland jobs
  • Significant contributions to state tax revenues
  • A $76 million investment in Maryland steel plants
  • A $24.6 million investment in upgrades to Baltimore’s port facility
  • Increased reliance on in-state energy resources
  • Improved air quality

Maryland’s leaders need to hear loud and clear that citizens want the state to become a national leader for offshore wind. Your support is key in making sure these projects are built on time!
