SALISBURY, MD—Salisbury University’s General Business and Accounting programs recently earned accreditation extension from AACSB International, the longest-serving global accrediting body for business schools.
SU’s Franklin P. Perdue School of Business is one of just 189 schools worldwide to hold AACSB accreditation in both business and accounting. Similarly, the Perdue School as a whole is one of only 831 business schools in 54 countries and territories — fewer than 5 percent in the world — to earn overall AACSB accreditation.
“AACSB accreditation is a prestigious hallmark,” said Dr. Christy Weer, Perdue School dean. “This extension validates that our programs continue to meet the highest standards set by the business community. It also recognizes the ongoing efforts of our faculty, staff and students in ensuring the Perdue School’s ongoing commitment to quality business education.”
Programs earning AACSB accreditation must adhere to set standards in areas including strategic management and innovation; student, faculty and staff participation; learning and teaching; and academic and professional engagement.
