Salisbury, MD – June 2020– This year WSW hosts its annual Walk for Awareness event virtually! We are inviting survivors, families, and friends to join the movement and walk to collectively reach 2 million steps in the month of June. Although many of our regular events have been cancelled, we are still looking forward to joining people on virtual level to bring awareness to the importance of breast cancer support and education to all those affected. This is a wonderful opportunity to support local and also get active.
Participants can use any fitness tracker and post pictures of their steps to #WSW2Mill2020 on any social media platform such as Facebook or Instagram. Registration is free, however participants can make a donation on the WSW website or purchase Walk for Awareness clothing at www.bonfire.com/2020-wsw-walk-for-awareness .
Women Supporting Women is a local, grass-roots non-profit organization dedicated to providing awareness, education and support to all those who are affected by breast cancer. With no national ties or funding, they rely completely on our community to help provide free services to our neighbors, friends and families right here on Delmarva.
