Salisbury, MD – City of Salisbury Assistant Fire Chief Rob Frampton will be a member of Leadership Maryland’s Class of 2023 and is the only participant from a Fire Service agency chosen this year.
Leadership Maryland is a statewide professional development program and this will be their 30th class of which Frampton was one of 53 individuals chosen. The program is to focus on the state’s five main geographic regions and most vital issues that impact health and human services, economic development, the environment, education, criminal justice, and multi-culturalism/diversity across Maryland. The program educates participants through hands-on learning, panelists and guest speakers which include over 100 experts that represent business, government, education, and non-profit communities from the state.
“I am excited to see first hand how the various organizations in our state work together, not just from a public safety perspective; but from a holistic view,” said Frampton. “I want to bring back new ways of connecting to the community institutions and inspiring change in Salisbury.”
Frampton has been a notorious leader in the Salisbury Fire Department. He has won numerous Departmental awards over the past 20 years of which include: two MIEMSS Star of Life Awards, two Departmental Commendations, a Departmental Meritorious Service Award, multiple unit citations and CPR awards. In 2022, Frampton became an Executive Fire Officer graduate by completing a four-year program for executive leaders in the fire service. Less than 100 individuals in the state of Maryland have completed this program.

Former Mayor Jake Day was a sponsor of Frampton. The program started April 20th, 2023 in Ocean City, Maryland, has its first regional visit this week and will continue through December.
