United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore celebrated their new office and the marking of their 70th anniversary with a Ribbon Cutting and a Business After Hours on Thursday, November 13. They were joined by many of the agencies that are supported by UWLES as well as local dignitaries, Chamber members and representatives from many of the companies that donated their talents, products and services to make the move possible. Through all of the support and in-kind donations of over 28 companies, totaling over $160,000.00, the space now allows the United Way to better serve their agencies with expanded training area, meeting space and flexibility. Guests were also treated to some of the history of the United Way, the local programs it supports and all the individuals they have touched.
