On Thursday, D’Shawn Doughty, an Eastern Shore native and Wicomico High School graduate, proudly announced his candidacy for District 2 representative of the Salisbury City Council.
Doughty is currently the Development Manager at Green Street Housing and is involved with several community groups and organizations throughout the city, including Junior Achievement, Habitat for Humanity, City of Salisbury Kindness Commissioners, and United Way.
Living in District 2 his entire life, Doughty understands the challenges and opportunities facing the
community. Through active engagement and firsthand experience, he has developed a comprehensive understanding of the issues that matter most to Salisbury residents.
“I’m excited to bring my vision to the Salisbury City Council,” Doughty said. “Our city and district are filled
with hard-working, passionate, dedicated individuals who are determined to make Salisbury a home for all. I’m confident our message will draw support and we will accomplish our goals for the betterment of all.”
