Salisbury, MD – Grab a cape and head to Downtown Salisbury for the October 3rd Friday event, which features the “Super Hero Edition” theme.
The free event is set for 5-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20. Artists and crafters will be set up along Main and Division streets, and there will be live music by The MBD Band and a dance performance by Feet of Fire. People are encouraged to wear superhero costumes.
Visit That Games Truck to play superhero video games. People will also have a chance to play other games and spin the prize wheel to win a prize.
There will also be a maze for attendees to navigate outside, along with an obstacle course that allows participants to act as if they are flying, with the help of a team.
Downtown businesses and organizations are getting into the 3rd Friday fun, too. Blackwater Apothecary will offer $13 tarot readings with Nicole from 5-8 p.m., and the store will also host the last day of the Romina Pashmina pop-up shop.
Salisbury Art Space will host a “Pop Art & Comics” show, sponsored by Cakes by David, with a reception from 5-7 p.m. during 3rd Friday. In the same building, visit the Salisbury University Art Galleries | Downtown to see the “Release” exhibition. The Dave & Patsy Rommel Center for Entrepreneurship’s Innovate Walls Mural Art Competition also continues through Oct. 25; apply at bit.ly/InnovateWalls.
Stop by the Salisbury Wicomico Arts Council’s Social Room at 110 W. Church St. for the Writers & Readers Open Mic Night, featuring members of the Lower Eastern Shore Chapter of the Maryland Writers’ Association. “Swifties” can make their way to Brew River Seafood House & Dock Bar and test their Taylor Swift knowledge at a trivia night from 6-9 p.m.; reserve a team spot by emailing info@brewriver.com.
There is no charge for artists to participate in 3rd Friday as vendors, but advance registration is appreciated. For more information, visit 3rdFridaySby.com.
