The Lower Shore Table Tennis Club at Crown Sports Center, south of Fruitland, will launch a USA Table Tennis (USATT) affiliated league this Saturday, December 13th. This initial session will be directed by USATT certified coach and umpire Dan Green (formerly ranked #5 nationally in Men’s Singles Over 50 and a two-time U.S. Open Doubles Champion). Play will consist of small group round-robin matches, with results entered into the USATT computer rating system, resulting in individual league ratings for players.
The Club is a program of the Lower Shore Parkinson’s Support Group, a local charitable organization. The facility is available to the public several days a week for open play (a small donation is requested). There is no additional cost or membership requirement to participate in league play. If you’d like to participate Saturday email the Club at LSTTClub@gmail.com or call 410-742-1128. Doors open at 9 a.m. and league play is expected to start about 10:00 a.m. and end between Noon and 1 p.m. You may also stop by for open play.
