Salisbury, MD—Salisbury University’s Edward H. Nabb Research Center for Delmarva History and Culture holds the fundraiser “Evening in Old Snow Hill” 4-7 p.m. Saturday, May 4, with visits to two of the town’s most notable historical properties.
Guests have the opportunity to step inside the Samuel Gunn House (built circa 1760-1780), restored and furnished to reflect its 18th-century origins and its placement on the National Register of Historic Places. They also will visit the nearby McKimmey Porter House, built in 1805 and retaining many of its original Federal-style features.
The evening includes heavy hors d’oeuvres, an oyster raw bar, mint juleps and an open bar.
Tickets are $80. Advance purchase is required by Thursday, April 18. Proceeds benefit the Nabb Center.
