SALISBURY, MD — The City of Salisbury is pleased to announce the return of Sandy Green as the new Director of Finance.
“I am excited to return to Salisbury in the Director of Finance role,” Green said. “I plan to support the City’s mission by leading the finance team to deliver efficient and effective customer service. I am also committed to the vision of the City by maintaining the sound fiscal management practices that are already in place.”
Green spent seven years as the Assistant Director of Finance with the City before leaving last year to be Chief Financial Officer for Dorchester Public Schools. Before her time with the Salisbury Finance Department, she was the Assistant Director of Finance at Wor-Wic Community College for 16 years.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and a Masters of Business Administration from Salisbury University as well as a Certified Public Accountant License.
She was born and raised in Dorchester County and has lived on the Eastern Shore her whole life. She enjoys time at the pool, the beach, and island vacations.
Green, who loves to entertain family and friends, currently lives in Vienna, Maryland with her husband Bobby. They have two sons, Dalton and Landon. Green’s stepdaughter Jessica and husband Michael have given her two granddaughters (Marilynn and Mia).
We are confident that with Green’s expertise and dedication, the City of Salisbury will continue to prosper and thrive with her stewardship.
