Salisbury University Golf Classic Benefits SU Foundation Student Scholarships

Salisbury, MD – Area golfers received the opportunity to meet Salisbury University’s new men’s and women’s golf coach, Dalton Deardorff, during the 2024 SU Golf Classic at GlenRiddle Golf Club in Berlin, MD.

Proceeds from the annual event benefit Salisbury University Foundation, Inc. student scholarships.

The Insurance Market sponsored the tournament’s winning team, consisting of Jamie Gladden, Stephen Hartstein, Cale Johnson and Roger Waters. Second place went to the Philip and Barbara Long Family Foundation team: Galen Gardner, Jack Gardner, Chad Hartman and Corey Hoch.

Renee Sheehy of the Delmarva Power, an Exelon Company team scored a hole-in-one during the tournament, also receiving the Best Dressed Award.

The Longest Drive Award went to Jamie Gladden of the Gladden Construction, Inc., team. Steve Lewis of M.R. Ducks, playing on the Black Diamond Catering team, won the Closest to the Pin Award.

Lead sponsors of the tournament included Adam’s Taphouse Grille and Black Diamond Catering (which provided a post-tournament barbecue), Tecta America East, Whiting-Turner Contracting Co. and The Garland Company.
