Salisbury, MD — The Recovery Resource Center in Salisbury is pleased to announce its selection as a service site for this year’s Ravens Caw to Action Day, part of a larger community-wide volunteer day organized by the United Way of Central Maryland in partnership with the Baltimore Ravens. On Monday, October 7, 2024, from 1 pm to 5 pm, Ravens fans, volunteers, and local community members will unite to beautify the outside of the Recovery Resource Center located at 726 S Salisbury Blvd Suite E in Salisbury, Maryland.
Caw to Action Day is an annual event where thousands of volunteers across Maryland join Ravens players, coaches, cheerleaders, mascot Poe, and even the Ravens’ marching band to provide hands-on service to nonprofits. This year, the Recovery Resource Center will be a focus for service on the Lower Eastern Shore, with volunteers working on outdoor beautification projects such as planting mums, painting, adding planters, and installing an awning.
The event will feature food and refreshments from the Grateful Grub food truck and the Tiki Hut Shaved Ice truck on-site for all participants. Volunteers are encouraged to sign up by visiting www.volunteermd.org/need/detail/?need_id=974812.
“We are beyond excited to be part of the Ravens’ Caw to Action Day here on the Lower Eastern Shore,” said Lisa Campbell, executive director, Recovery Resource Center. “This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in our community, and we couldn’t be more grateful to everyone who will be joining us.”
Limited volunteer spots are still available, and those interested in participating can sign up through the United Way of Central Maryland’s volunteer portal: [Eastern Shore – Team Health & Wellness – Recovery Resource Center – Site Improvement Projects | United Way of Central Maryland (volunteermd.org)].
