The SACC members were delighted to join Commonwealth Senior Living on October 30th to celebrate their independent living cottage expansion, and the reveal of their new clubhouse reveal, two great additions to the plethora of services they provide to the senior citizens living in this community.
Guests were welcomed by Nisha Switzer, Executive Director, who shared “Thank you all for joining us in this milestone celebration. We have a very special guest with us today, Mrs. Simonick, who lived right here where our clubhouse stands. We asked her if she was willing to give up her house, so we could create this beautiful clubhouse for the enjoyment of the rest of the community and she said yes! Therefore, the building was named after her. We are thrilled to have an amazing team, including our new Chef Karl, who is ready to try some new things like having omelet stations and brunches in this clubhouse. We hope this is not the last time we see you; come back with your families, spend some time with us, and take tours of our great facility.”
The new clubhouse has plenty of indoor and outdoor open areas ideal for getting together and it has a full kitchen available for anyone’s use. It is intended to be used and become the focal point where residents can gather, play cards/games, or simply meet with their friends or family without having to use their own house. The total of 23 independent living cottages are nearly completed. These units are all ADA compliant, with open floorplans which are easy to navigate. They feature a small balcony, spacious living room, modern kitchen/dining facilities, 1- or 2-bedroom, full bathroom, laundry facilities and a back porch. Each owner may enhance each unit by adding from a list of upgraded amenities available at the time of selecting the forever home.
At Commonwealth Senior Living, residents enjoy privacy, dignity, and maintenance-free living. Whether it is in their independent living cottages, assisted living suites, their award-winning Sweet Memories memory care or their short-term respite stays. They take care of everything, including cooking, home maintenance, daily housekeeping, weekly linen services, 24/7 emergency call system, assistance with bathing-dining-dressing and daily activities, trips, social programs for their residents and much more.
