Salisbury, MD – Habitat for Humanity of Wicomico County’s Fruitland ReStore thrift shop is extending their hours into six days a week starting November 4, 2024. With the extended store hours, the Fruitland location is asking for donations of all kinds to fill their shelves. The new hours of operation will match the Salisbury ReStore location’s hours of Monday-Friday 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
“We heard the community’s feedback and are excited to offer our supporters more hours in Fruitland,” said Lee Wise, ReStore director. “This extension makes it easier for our shoppers and item donors to visit us at their convenience.”
Residents who are moving, have estate items, have leftover yard sale items, or are cleaning out their homes are encouraged to donate. ReStore Director Wise noted, “The more items we have, the better the shopping experience. And we take more than people realize.” For pickups or questions on the suitability of an item to donate, shoppers are asked to call the Salisbury store at 410-749-6325. A few items that the ReStore accepts are clothing, jewelry, household items, knickknacks, small and large appliances, tools and hardware. Donations are accepted at either store during operating hours until 4:00 p.m. All proceeds will go directly to helping Habitat for Humanity of Wicomico County build a future where everyone has a safe, decent, affordable home.
