SALISBURY — Melinda Echols has been named TidalHealth Peninsula Regional’s inaugural Laboratory Legend Award winner. This award recognizes TidalHealth’s laboratory technical team members who demonstrate exceptional performance in accountability, compassion, commitment, problem-solving and/or teamwork.
Echols is the Senior Medical Laboratory Scientist at the Richard A. Henson Cancer Institute lab located in Ocean Pines. She joined Team TidalHealth two and a half years ago and has shined ever since.
Echols was recommended for “displaying outstanding work ethic and compassion in her daily activities. She is a valuable resource for patients and staff. She is always willing to assist with research labs for patients enrolled in clinical trials. Her knowledge and expertise are unmatched.”
Echols did a great job with a recent CAP inspection, and worked one-on-one with the inspectors, handling them and her lab duties simultaneously. She possesses all the qualities of a laboratory legend and is loved by her patients and co-workers.
TidalHealth appreciates Echols and all of our laboratory team members who provide exceptional care to our patients throughout our health system.
