Wicomico Habitat for Humanity Hosts 9/11 Day of Service

Salisbury, MDOn Friday, September 12, 2025, Habitat for Humanity of Wicomico County (HFHWC) will host a day of service and remembrance at the home of a deserving U.S. Army Veteran to commemorate the sacrifices and lives lost on September 11.

The day will begin with opening remarks by Dana Condron, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and current HFHWC volunteer, followed by words from Jake Day, Maryland Secretary of Housing and Community Development. Volunteers will then assist with critical safety repairs and yard beautification projects. The day begins at 9:00 a.m. Lunch will be provided to volunteers. Funding for this Day of Service has graciously been provided through the support of AmeriCorps.
