Salisbury & Crisfield — TidalHealth Peninsula Regional is pleased to announce that Christina Griffin, RRT, is its Tree of Life Award recipient for September 2025. Griffin is a registered respiratory therapist at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional in Salisbury and TidalHealth McCready Pavilion in Crisfield.
This award honors respiratory therapists who provide exceptional care to patients, establish meaningful connections, and collaborate with the care team to ensure the best possible outcomes for their patients.
Griffin was nominated not once, but twice for her professionalism, teamwork and dedication to providing exceptional service:
“Christina is always an asset when she works with us at [TidalHealth McCready Pavilion]. She helps in any way that she can, whether it’s getting vital signs, cleaning up a room after a patient is discharged, or just helping a patient by getting a warm blanket, water, etc. Yesterday was a very busy day; all of our beds were full, and the acuity was high. Christina was extremely helpful as she always is, and she even helped by doing EKGs. I am always grateful when Christina is working with us.”
“She always goes above and beyond when working at [TidalHealth McCready Pavilion] in the ER. She helps register people, get vital signs, room patients, clean rooms and anything else anyone could ask for.
We were very busy yesterday afternoon with high volume. Every few minutes, someone new was checking in at the window. We had high acuity patients with chest pains and shortness of breath. We flew out a pediatric appendicitis [patient] and overall had [several] sick patients. She never hesitated to jump in and help, even without direction. She did ECGs, vitals, roomed patients, cleaned beds, took specimens to the lab, ran ECGs back to the doctor, and answered phone calls. She was invaluable and always brings the same great attitude and work ethic.
We as a team know that we will have a good day no matter what happens because she is a consistently excellent team player.”
