Over the past year, the Maryland Department of Commerce has supported 99 small businesses in expanding internationally by awarding roughly $500,000 through its ExportMD grant program to help cover costs such as trade show fees, marketing and travel. One of the beneficiaries, BC3 Technologies, used the funding to identify overseas markets for its hemostatic wound spray, illustrating how the grants help companies scale globally and boost Maryland’s presence in international trade.
Quoted: BC3 Technologies Chief Executive Officer Wayne Grube, Jr. said that “the support from the Maryland Department of Commerce is helping BC3 Technologies bring our life-saving product, SEAL Hemostatic Wound Spray, to new global markets. This opportunity strengthens our mission to deliver simple, effective trauma care tools to those who need them most.”
