Playa Bowls Salisbury hosts SACC’s November Business After Hours

Salisbury, MD — The Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce held its latest Business After Hours networking event on November 13, hosted by Playa Bowls Salisbury. Guests were warmly welcomed by Director of Operations Joshua Parks, who shared why Playa Bowls has quickly become a favorite spot for the Salisbury community and highlighted the company’s commitment to the local community.

Parks emphasized that Playa Bowls is more than just a place to grab a bite – it’s a vibrant, community-focused business that brings people together. “Playa started 2014 as a makeshift pop-up stand on the sidewalk of Belmar, NJ. Fast forward 11 years and Playa Bowls’ franchises are approaching 400 stores!  It’s fun to be a part of such a lively vibrating brand that delivers healthy, fresh products (we receive fresh produce six days a week).  But what makes us special is being involved with our community by giving back.   Typically, a couple of days a week, we are doing something in the community, like tomorrow that we are giving 80 Playa Bowls to the students at James Bennett that had good attendance.  By giving a little, we receive so much back!”

When you eat a Playa Bowl, your brain is thinking luscious, fun, refreshing, exotic,” they explained, noting that the concept was inspired by the founders’ travels to surf towns across Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, California, and Hawaii.

Playa Bowls Salisbury offers an extensive menu of over 35 carefully crafted acai and pitaya bowls, designed to satisfy every taste bud. In addition, guests can enjoy smoothies, juices, cold brews, and cold-pressed juices. When you eat a Playa Bowl, your brain is thinking luscious, fun, refreshing, exotic,” they explained, noting that the concept was inspired by the founders’ travels to surf towns across Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, California, and Hawaii.  The business also provides catering services and operates a food truck, bringing their tropical flavors directly to special events across the region.

The evening provided Chamber members and guests with the opportunity to connect, network, and experience firsthand why Playa Bowls is a favorite in Salisbury.  They had the opportunity to choose from a variety of bowls, enjoyed delicious sandwiches Chamber member Bagel Bakery, and entered to win free Playa Bowls, swag items or a catering event for 10 people.

And lucky winner Hank Yuloff, won the 50/50 raffle which benefits the SACC Foundation –  Wor-Wic Fund.
