This December workshop will be hosted in Wicomico County.
Join us for an informative Certification Workshop, presented in collaboration with the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce, the University of Maryland Eastern Shore Procurement Office, and local small business resource partners.

This workshop is designed to provide valuable information on local small business resources and assist vendors seeking a Certified Small Business (CSB) certification, Veteran-Owned Small Business Enterprise (VSBE) Program certification or recertification.

Important Requirement

Vendors must be registered in eMMA prior to the workshop in order to complete your certification.

What to Bring for VSBE & CSB Certifications

  • Laptop (required to complete the certification process)
  • Google Chrome browser
  • Tax ID Number (EIN)
  • UNSPSC Codes for your business profile in eMaryland Marketplace Advantage (eMMA)

  • For VSBE Certification: Electronic copy of your DD214
  • For CSB Certification (SBR Program): Electronic access to the last three years of your business’ gross sales (2024, 2023, 2022 tax returns) and number of employees

Important Note

To obtain your VSBE or CSB Certification, you must be registered in eMaryland Marketplace Advantage (eMMA – emma.maryland.gov), the State of Maryland’s electronic “Bid Board.”

  • Maryland’s prime and subcontracting program specifically for Veteran-Owned businesses.

SBR Program

  • Maryland’s prime contracting program for Certified Small Businesses (CSB).

Who Should Attend?

Veteran-Owned and Small Businesses — including firms owned and operated by minorities and women — interested in doing business in the state contracting arena as a prime contractor or subcontractor.

  • Advance registration is required
  • You must check in at the front desk upon arrival
  • A brief overview of each program will be presented
