Salisbury, MD — TidalHealth is pleased to announce that Michael “Mike” Jansen, physical therapist at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional in Salisbury, is the December 2025 recipient of the Marc McDonald Award.
Jansen was recognized by a TidalHealth team member for his professionalism, compassion and commitment to the healing and well-being of TidalHealth’s patients:
“Michael is an exceptional physical therapist who consistently earns the respect of both patients and team members. He approaches every interaction with kindness, patience and a gentle manner that puts patients at ease.
Michael is thoughtful and knowledgeable in his work, and he demonstrates a deep commitment to the well-being of those in his care. I have also witnessed his impact on a personal level, as he supported a member of my family in more ways than one.
His compassion and dedication do not go unnoticed — patients genuinely love interacting with Michael, and his care makes a meaningful difference every day.”
The Marc McDonald Award is given to TidalHealth team members in the fields of physical, occupational and speech therapy in recognition and memory of Marc McDonald, an outstanding lead physical therapist at TidalHealth Nanticoke in Seaford, Delaware. He passed unexpectedly in 2022, but not before leaving a legacy of exceptional patient care.
