In addition to annual campaigns, employees at the Piedmont Airlines headquarters in Salisbury host a “Dash Pull” fundraiser each year to benefit United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore. In 2013, Piedmont locations in Harrisburg, Roanoke, Philadelphia and Charlotte also held United Way Dash Pull fundraisers.
“Just about everyone in our community has been touched by a program that is supported by the United Way,” said Steve Farrow, President and CEO of Piedmont Airlines. “For that reason, Piedmont and our 5500 employees are proud to contribute to the annual campaign. By supporting the United Way we can do our part to promote healthy, educated communities.”
As the largest non-governmental source of funding for 56 critical programs in Wicomico, Worcester, Somerset and Dorchester Counties, United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore helps Eastern Shore residents achieve educational success, income stability and good health.
