The 2026 Fire & Ice Festival “In the First State” has been rescheduled to February 6-8 for more favorable festival weather and travel conditions. This decision was made in the interest of public safety in accordance with the January 28 Sussex County Weather Report with the approval of the Fire & Ice Board Committee, Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce, and partnering towns and host locations.
Presented by the Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce, the weekend-long, multi-town winter festival is free to attend and spans the Quiet Resorts towns of South Coastal Delaware. This year’s festival features over 90 ice sculptures, masterfully carved by The Ice God, and a full slate of family-friendly activities. Festival updates and a current schedule of events can be found at fireandicede.com and the official @fireandicede Instagram and Facebook pages.
