At the Dave & Patsy Rommel Center for Entrepreneurship, we know that small businesses are the heartbeat of downtown Salisbury—but we also know that many of these businesses face real barriers when it comes to investing in their brand and marketing.

The Brand Boost Grant represents something special, a true partnership between the Rommel Center and the City of Salisbury, working together with local experts like D3, to support the continued revitalization of downtown Salisbury through targeted brand development assistance for small businesses.

In today’s competitive marketplace, having a great product or service isn’t enough—you need a brand strategy that resonates with customers and differentiates you from the competition. That’s where strategic branding becomes your most powerful business tool.

A selected business will receive a package of branding and marketing support, worth over $4,000, including:

  • $1,000 Cash Award – For Customized Brand Development
  • WMDT TV – Commercial Run Package with Video Production
  • D3 Marketing Consultation – Specific Business Brand Strategy & Guidance
  • Online Brand Performance Audit – Professional Assessment of Current Brand Assets
  • Vinyl Graphics and/or Logo Redesign – To Enhance Front Window & Brand Image
  • Large A-Frame Sign – Outdoor Brand Awareness & Messaging
  • Printed Brand Package – Rack Cards, Business Cards, A-Frame, Flyers, Etc.

The Brand Boost Grant is open to:

  • Businesses located in Downtown Salisbury, MD
  • Engaged business owners seeking to strengthen branding, signage, and digital presence
  • Small or under-resourced businesses needing professional support
  • Business owners committed to implementing recommendations and improving visibility

Applicants do NOT need to be affiliated with Salisbury University. Both established businesses and newer ventures with an operating storefront are encouraged to apply.
