The spirit of adventure is set to take over Delaware April 25–26, 2026, as Scouts from across the region gather in central Delaware for a high-energy Jamboree designed to showcase the excitement, teamwork, and real-world skills that define Scouting.

The event brings together youth and volunteer leaders for an action-packed weekend of outdoor challenges and hands-on activities — and is expected to be the largest Scouting event held in Delaware in the past 15 years, offering a firsthand look at why Scouting continues to be one of the most engaging youth programs on the Delmarva Peninsula.

Community Partners and the DE250 Connection

This year’s Jamboree also connects to Delaware’s broader celebration of America’s 250th anniversary through DE250.

The initiative encourages programs that highlight history, service, and civic engagement — all core elements of the Scouting experience. By tying hands-on activities to Delmarva’s past and future, the Jamboree becomes part of a larger effort to engage the next generation.

A Weekend Built Around Adventure

Participants will experience a wide range of interactive stations designed to challenge, inspire, and energize. Whether it’s testing physical ability, learning new skills, or working as a team, every activity is built to keep Scouts engaged.

Highlights include:

  • Outdoor skill challenges like knot-tying and navigation
  • Target sports including archery and shooting activities
  • Climbing, canoeing, pioneering, and orienteering challenges
  • Team-based problem-solving exercises that build leadership and confidence

In addition to hands-on activities, Scouts will travel through four themed program areas that bring history to life:

  • Colonial Period (Pre-1812)
  • Antebellum & Civil War Period (1812–1865)
  • Reconstruction Period (1865–1945)
  • Cold War to Future Era (1945–Future)

Each area blends history, crafts, and interactive experiences — giving Scouts a chance to learn while staying fully immersed in the action.

“These events are where Scouts really grow,” one organizer noted. “They learn by doing — and they do it together.”

Community Organizations Bring the Experience to Life

A wide range of community partners will be on-site, adding depth and excitement to the experience while connecting Scouts to real-world careers, history, and service opportunities.

Participating organizations include:

  • Camden Wyoming Fire Company
  • Dover Police Department
  • Delaware State Police
  • 1st Delaware Regiment
  • Kent County Department of Public Safety
  • U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service / National Wildlife Refuge
  • DNREC
  • Hagley Museum and Library
  • Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad State Park
  • Delaware Society of the Sons of the American Revolution (DESSAR)
  • Appomattox Camp #2 Sons of the Union Veterans of the Civil War (SUVCW)
  • Frederick Douglass Honor Society
  • Lewes Historical Society
  • Delaware Historical Society
  • Polytech High School
  • Del Rods Car Club and Ocean City Cruzers Car Club

These groups help transform the Jamboree into more than just a camping event — creating an interactive environment where Scouts can explore history, public service, and future career paths.

The Public Is Invited

Organizers are making it clear: this isn’t just a Scouts-only event — the community is encouraged to come experience it firsthand.

According to the Del-Mar-Va Council’s registration information, members of the public can attend as day visitors, giving families a chance to explore activity areas, meet participating organizations, and get a closer look at what Scouting offers.

Admission is structured to make the event accessible:

  • Adults (21+) not affiliated with Scouting America: $30
  • Youth (under 21) who are not Scouts: Free

Local coverage has also highlighted that the Jamboree is open to the public, reinforcing the event’s goal of welcoming new families and community members.

Public attendance is available on Saturday, April 25, 2026.

The Jamboree schedule is built around high-energy group moments that bring everyone together:

  • Opening Ceremony: Saturday at 9:00 a.m. (Amphitheater)
  • Patriotic Pathways Program: 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

More Than Just Activities

While the weekend is packed with excitement, organizers say the impact goes far beyond the fun.

The Jamboree is designed to build leadership, confidence, and a sense of responsibility — giving Scouts opportunities to challenge themselves, work together, and grow in ways that last long after the event ends.

A Tradition That Keeps Growing

Events like the Jamboree continue to draw interest from families across Delmarva, offering a powerful reminder of the value of outdoor learning and community connection.

For those already involved, it’s a celebration of everything Scouting represents. For those considering it, it’s an open invitation to jump in.

And for many Scouts, it’s simply one of the most exciting weekends of the year.
