Salisbury, MD — The Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce (SACC) hosted its 7th Annual Ladies and Mixed Team 9-Hole Golf Challenge on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Green Hill Country Club in Quantico, Maryland.
This year’s tournament was presented by Pohanka of Salisbury, CareFirst BlueCross, BlueShield, and Chesapeake Bath & Home Solutions, and brought together business professionals from across the region for a day of networking, friendly competition, and community engagement in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Guests were welcomed by Mike Price of Chesapeake Bath & Home Solutions, James Brown of CareFirst, Ryan Blue of Avery Hall Insurance, and Wicomico County Executive Julie Giordano. Opening remarks were also delivered by Green Hill Golf Pro Rob MacDonald and SACC President/CEO Bill Chambers, who thanked participants and sponsors for their continued support of this growing event.
“Echoing the sentiments shared by our speakers, this event continues to grow each year because it brings together business leaders in a way that is both welcoming and impactful,” said Bill Chambers, President/CEO of the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce. “We are proud to create opportunities for professionals—especially those new to the game—to connect, build relationships, and strengthen our local business community.”
Originally launched in 2020 as an opportunity to introduce women professionals to the game of golf in a relaxed, non-intimidating setting, the tournament has continued to expand each year. What began with just five teams has grown into a signature Chamber event, as many as twenty-five teams utilizing both nine-hole layouts at Green Hill Country Club.
Participants enjoyed a variety of on-course contests and networking opportunities, followed by an awards reception celebrating both competitive achievements and the spirit of participation.

Save the Date: 2026 SACC Golf Classic
The Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce’s premier tournament, the 2026 SACC Golf Classic, presented by Spicer Bros. Construction, will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2026, at Green Hill Country Club.
As the Chamber’s largest golf event of the year, the Golf Classic sells out quickly each year. Registration will open in June, and teams and sponsorship opportunities are available at all levels, including promotion through Chamber marketing outlets. Registration will open in June.
