Chesapeake Health Care is pleased to announce that Elizabeth A. Godar, MD has joined its team of providers at the Woodbrooke OB/GYN office in Salisbury. Dr. Godar is a board-certified OB/GYN physician dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care for women throughout all stages of life. She brings experience in preventive women’s healthcare, prenatal care, gynecologic services, and patient education, with a strong commitment to improving access to quality healthcare for diverse communities.
Dr. Godar earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Mountain Area Health Education Center. She also holds bachelor’s degrees in biology and Spanish from Washington University in St. Louis.
Prior to joining Chesapeake Health Care, Dr. Godar served as an OB/GYN physician with North Country Healthcare, where she provided comprehensive women’s healthcare services. She is also recognized as Qualified Bilingual Staff in Spanish, allowing her to better serve Spanish-speaking patients and families.
Throughout her medical training and career, Dr. Godar has received numerous honors recognizing her leadership, advocacy, and excellence in women’s healthcare. Her awards include the SGO Outstanding Resident in Gynecologic Oncology Award and the MAHEC OB/GYN Resident Teaching Award. She was also a National Health Service Corps Scholar, reflecting her dedication to serving medically underserved communities.
