
Salisbury, MD — Chesapeake Health Care is pleased to announce the addition of Barbara ‘Michelle’ Hearn, CRNP-PMH, to its Behavioral Health team. Hearn will provide care to clients at the
organization’s Salisbury and Princess Anne locations.
Hearn is a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 14 years of progressive nursing experience, including extensive work in correctional mental health and healthcare leadership. She has extensive experience treating serious mental illness, trauma-related disorders, and co-occurring substance use conditions using evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches.
Hearn completed her Post-Graduate Certificate as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Chamberlain University. She also holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Wilmington University, where she minored in Legal Nurse Consulting, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Wilmington University.
Prior to joining Chesapeake Health Care, Hearn served as Assistant Director of Nursing with Centurion, where she led mental health care operations and quality improvement initiatives. She also held roles as a Regional Continuous Quality Improvement Nurse with YesCare and as a Patient Safety and Risk Management Coordinator with TidalHealth, where she partnered with leadership to improve care quality, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
Hearn is passionate about delivering accessible and equitable mental health care, particularly for underserved populations. Her approach emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered treatment that promotes stability, resilience, and long-term well-being.
