Davis, Bowen & Friedel, Inc. (DBF) is proud to announce that team members Joshua Mills and Patrick Retallack have successfully passed the Maryland Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) examination and are now officially licensed Professional Land Surveyors in the State of Maryland.
This achievement represents an important professional milestone and reflects both individuals’ dedication to the surveying profession and continued commitment to technical excellence and service to our clients and communities.
Joshua Mills joined DBF in 2018 as a Survey Technician and has grown within the organization through hands-on field experience, technical development, and an ongoing pursuit of professional advancement. Over the years, Josh transitioned into expanded responsibilities supporting survey drafting, plats, planning documents, and project coordination while working toward professional licensure. His achievement as a licensed Maryland Professional Land Surveyor reflects years of dedication to the profession and continued investment in delivering high-quality surveying services.
Patrick Retallack joined DBF in 2025 as a Survey Field Technician and quickly demonstrated a strong commitment to the profession and continued growth within the surveying discipline. Earning Maryland PLS licensure so early in his time with DBF reflects both his experience and dedication to advancing his technical capabilities while supporting the firm’s surveying team and client service efforts.
