Millsboro, DE — Boulevard Ford of Millsboro recently had the honor of welcoming Ford Motor Company, national production partners, and local talent to its Millsboro campus for the filming of Ford’s September Dealer Community Engagement Global Food Drive campaign.
For the Boulevard Ford of Millsboro team and Preston Automotive Group, the experience was much more than a production day. It was a proud and meaningful moment that brought together people, purpose, and community in a way that reflected the organization’s heart.
The national campaign shines a light on the importance of local food drives and community support efforts, encouraging communities to come together to help families in need. That message resonates deeply with Preston Automotive Group, where giving back has been part of the company’s foundation for more than 50 years.
“We want to extend our sincere thanks to Ford Motor Company for selecting Boulevard Ford of Millsboro as the location for the national production of Ford’s September Dealer Community Engagement Global Food Drive campaign,” said Dave Wilson, Chairman of DHW Holdings. “This campaign highlights something much bigger than a commercial. It shines a spotlight on the power of communities coming together to help families in need through local food drives and community support efforts.”
The production brought more than 50 people to the Millsboro campus, including representatives from Ford Motor Company, GTB, Free Age, local talent, and production professionals from neighboring states. From early planning and preparation to filming and on-site coordination, the project was a true team effort.
“What many people will see is the finished commercial,” Wilson said. “What they may never see is the incredible amount of planning, preparation, coordination, and teamwork that took place behind the scenes. The professionalism displayed by everyone involved was truly outstanding.”
Being selected for a national Ford production is an extraordinary honor. For Boulevard Ford of Millsboro, the moment carried even greater significance because of the campus’s unique place in Ford history.
“Adding to the significance of the event, Boulevard Ford of Millsboro was the first Ford Signature 2.0 facility in the world and continues to serve as an example of Ford’s vision for the future retail experience,” Wilson said. “While many additional Signature 2.0 facilities are now being developed across the country, it is particularly meaningful that Ford chose the facility that helped launch this exciting chapter of the brand’s future.”
For Boulevard Ford of Millsboro, being chosen for this national campaign was both an honor and a full-circle moment. The same facility that helped introduce Ford’s next generation of retail experience is now helping share a national message centered around service, generosity, and community impact.
“It is an incredible honor to be chosen for a project of this magnitude,” Wilson said. “Opportunities like this are extraordinarily rare, and we are grateful for the trust Ford placed in our team, our facilities, and our community.”
Preston Automotive Group also shared special thanks for the many individuals who helped make the production possible, including JB Burnett, James Bee, Rick O’Shea, Matt Piner, Jeremy Johnson, Brian Smith, Chris Schaffner, and Ted McNeil.
Burnett was recognized for his leadership of the Millsboro campus and for the standard of excellence he and his team uphold each day.
“Anyone who has visited the campus knows the standard JB sets every day,” Wilson said. “The facilities, grounds, and overall presentation are consistently impeccable. Excellence has become the expectation under his leadership, and that commitment was on full display throughout this project.”
Chris Schaffner was also recognized for helping coordinate the many moving parts of a production of this scale.
“Chris worked closely with Ford Motor Company, GTB, Free Age, and our internal teams to ensure everything came together seamlessly,” Wilson said. “His organization, communication, and attention to detail played a major role in the success of this project.”
For Preston Automotive Group, community has always been at the center of the story. Through Preston Cares and countless local partnerships, the organization has remained committed to supporting families, schools, first responders, healthcare professionals, veterans, and causes that touch lives throughout the Delmarva region.
That same spirit made this project especially meaningful.
“This project was about far more than producing a commercial,” Wilson said. “It was about supporting communities, helping families, encouraging others to give back, and demonstrating what can happen when great organizations come together around a meaningful cause.”
Boulevard Ford of Millsboro and Preston Automotive Group are grateful to Ford Motor Company for the continued partnership and for trusting the Millsboro team, campus, and community with such an important national campaign.
“Thank you, Ford Motor Company, for allowing us to be part of something so special,” Wilson said. “And thank you to every individual who helped make this historic moment possible.”
