Diakonia, Maryland Food Bank, and Atlantic Club Partner for Free Food Share & Community Resources Event

Ocean City, MD — Diakonia, in partnership with the Maryland Food Bank and Atlantic Club Recovery at the Beach, invites the community to a FREE Food Share & Community Resources Event on Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Atlantic Club, 11827 Ocean Gateway, Ocean City, MD 21842.
The event is open to individuals, families, and Veterans throughout Maryland’s Lower Eastern Shore. Attendees will receive free fresh food while also connecting with local organizations offering valuable services and resources, including:
• Health Screenings and Health Care Information
• Reentry Services and Narcan Training
• Peer Support and Recovery Information
• Legal Services Information
• Rapid Response Team Services and SNAP Enrollment Assistance
“These events are about more than providing food,” said Ken Argot, Executive Director of Diakonia. “They’re about connecting neighbors with the resources, support, and hope they need while strengthening the partnerships that make our community healthier and more resilient.”
Through the continued support of the Maryland Food Bank, Atlantic Club Recovery at the Beach, and numerous community partners, Diakonia can expand access to nutritious food and essential services for those experiencing food insecurity and other challenges across the Lower Eastern Shore.
