Denvor, CO — Maryland Lt. Governor Aruna Miller was elected Treasurer of the 2026-2027 Executive Committee of the National Lieutenant Governors Association (NLGA) by her peer lieutenant governors during the recent NLGA Annual Meeting.
“I’m honored to serve as Treasurer of the National Lieutenant Governors Association and grateful to my fellow lieutenant governors for their confidence,” said Lt. Governor Miller. “Every state has something to teach and something to learn. Through NLGA, we have the opportunity to share best practices, build bipartisan partnerships, and find solutions that improve people’s lives. I can’t wait to welcome my colleagues to Maryland next year and show them firsthand how we’re working together to leave no one behind.”
Lt. Governor Miller will serve as Treasurer, one of three officer positions on the NLGA Executive Committee, until next year’s Annual Meeting, when she will be eligible to advance to Chair-Elect.
Lt. Governor Miller will welcome lieutenant governors and seconds-in-command to Annapolis for the 2027 NLGA Annual Meeting, June 23-25, 2027, where leaders from across the country will convene to discuss policy priorities, share best practices, and highlight Maryland’s innovations.
