The Community Players of Salisbury will present the play The Great Gatsby

The Community Players of Salisbury will present the play The Great Gatsby, a stage adaptation written and directed by Matt Bogdan. The play focuses on the plot and characters of the classic novel, including Jay Gatsby, Daisy Buchanan, and Nick Carraway. Intertwined in the two-act play are the life and times of The Great Gatsby author, F. Scott Fitzgerald, and his wife Zelda. Music from the 1920s enhance the production.

The Great Gatsby will be held at the Community Players’ Theater on Nutters Cross Road in Salisbury September 11 and 12 at 7:30 p.m. and September 13 at 2 p.m., as well as at the Ocean Pines Library on Cathell Road in Berlin September 18 and 19 at 7:30 p.m. and September 20 at 2 p.m. Admission is free with donations accepted, but seating is limited at both venues, so reservations are encouraged. Funding in part is provided by the Worcester County Arts Council, Maryland State Arts Council, and the National Endowment of the Arts, organizations dedicated to cultivating a vibrant cultural community where the arts thrive.
