Millsboro, DE – Mountaire Farms is proud to continue its commitment to education, workforce development, and investing in the next generation through its 2027 Farm to Table Scholarship Program. Applications and nominations opened on September 1st and will be accepted through December 31, 2026.
The program offers two scholarship paths, providing opportunities for both members of the Mountaire family and students in the communities where Mountaire operates. Each scholarship award is valued at $3,000, and this year’s application process includes a video component designed to give students an additional way to tell their story.
Family Scholarships
The Mountaire Family Scholarship is open to children and grandchildren of Mountaire employees, growers, and grain producers. Eligible applicants include high school seniors attending traditional, vocational, or technical schools who plan to enroll as full-time college students, as well as students currently enrolled in two-year community colleges or four-year universities.
Community Scholarships
The Mountaire Community Scholarship is available to students in Mountaire’s local communities who are pursuing education and careers in agriculture, the skilled trades, or related fields. Students interested in agriculture or skilled trades careers must be nominated by a teacher, guidance counselor, or career advisor. Teacher nominations open September 1.
Eligible applicants include traditional and vocational/technical high school seniors, students enrolled in registered apprenticeship programs, and students currently attending two-year community colleges or four-year universities.
“At Mountaire, we believe in creating opportunities for the next generation to succeed,” said Amanda Irwin, President and CEO of Mountaire. “Whether students are pursuing a college degree, an apprenticeship, a career in agriculture, or a skilled trade, we are proud to help support their educational journey and encourage them to build meaningful careers that strengthen our communities.”
For decades, Mountaire has supported students through scholarship opportunities that help remove financial barriers to education while encouraging future leaders in agriculture, food production, and skilled trades. The company views these scholarships as an investment in the communities where its employees, growers, and grain producers live and work.
