Salisbury, MD — September 22, 2026 — Every morning on the Lower Shore, someone walks through the doors of the Recovery Resource Center searching for hope. On Thursday, October 8, the community will come together to celebrate thousands of those moments of transformation at the 35th Annual Rise for Recovery Breakfast, held from 7:00–9:00 AM at the Wicomico Civic Center – Flanders Room.
For 35 years, the Recovery Resource Center has been a lifeline for individuals and families facing substance use and behavioral health challenges. Last year alone, RRC welcomed more than 51,000 guest visits, offering connection, stability, and a path forward — all free of charge.
“Recovery isn’t just about overcoming addiction — it’s about rebuilding lives, families, and futures,” said Lisa Lynn Campbell, Executive Director of RRC. “This breakfast celebrates the people who make that possible: our partners, our supporters, and the individuals who courageously choose recovery every day.”
The Rise for Recovery Breakfast brings together local leaders, businesses, and community members to highlight the impact of peer-led recovery support across the Lower Eastern Shore. Funds raised directly support RRC’s programs, including peer navigation, housing assistance, employment readiness, family reunification, and basic needs services.
With recent funding cuts affecting behavioral health resources statewide, RRC says community support is more critical than ever.
