Salisbury, MD; September 29, 2026 – Habitat for Humanity of Wicomico County (HFHWC) is throwing it back to the decade of its founding with the Chefs for Habitat 2027 Gourmet Gala at the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center. Kicking off the organization’s 40th anniversary celebration in retro style, this iconic, semi-formal event will showcase signature small plates crafted by 20 of the area’s best chefs, offering an extraordinary night of fine dining, exciting auction items, and high-energy music and dancing.

In addition to gourmet samplings from the area’s best culinary artists, the gala will be rocking with the totally rad tunes of the eighties. Guests are encouraged to lean into the ultimate ’80s theme and dress in their favorite retro-inspired attire.

Sponsorships are available, and any received before November 30, 2026 will receive special pricing and access to the exclusive VIP reception.  Individual tickets will go on sale late fall of this year and will be available only on the Wicomico Civic Center website (www.wicomicociviccenter.org).

HFHWC extends sincere thanks to Diamond Stage Sponsors Tom and Lisa Shelton for their generous support.

All proceeds directly support HFHWC’s mission to build affordable housing and provide Critical Home Repair/Aging in Place services across Wicomico and Somerset Counties. Addressing affordable housing as a matter of conscience, HFHWC has pledged to build 20 homes in the next 2 years–the most ambitious goal of this organization to-date. To become a sponsor, participate as a chef, or donate a silent auction item, contact Karen Cooper at karen@wicomicohabitat.org or 667-221-5426.
