SALISBURY, MD – The Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce was honored to join on October 21 owners Kenny and Amy Soni, their dedicated team, Chamber members, family, friends, and loyal customers in celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Bagel Bakery Café, a beloved Salisbury institution that has been serving the community since 1996.
Known throughout the region for its delicious freshly baked bagels, wraps, and sandwiches, Bagel Bakery Café has become a staple of the Salisbury community over the past three decades. While the bakery’s reputation was built on its exceptional bagels, customers know it offers so much more, combining quality food, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere making this location a favorite gathering place for breakfast and lunch.
Operating seven days a week is no small feat. Long before most of Salisbury awakens, members of the Bagel Bakery Café team are already hard at work, with baking beginning as early as 4:00 a.m. each day. While many in the community know Kenny through his active involvement with the Chamber, those close to the business understand that Amy and the bakery’s dedicated staff are truly the heart of the operation, helping ensure customers receive the exceptional experience they have come to expect.
Their commitment to their customers and community will be recognized next week at the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce Awards celebration as they were selected as the SACC’s 2026 Small Business of the Year.
The anniversary celebration was filled with excitement and appreciation as the Soni family and their team were recognized by numerous elected officials and community leaders. Special presentations included citations from U.S. Senators Chris Van Hollen and Angela Alsobrooks, presented by Bill Chambers; a Maryland Senate citation presented by Senator Mary Beth Carozza; a citation from the Wicomico County House Delegation, presented by Delegate Sheree Sample-Hughes; and a proclamation from the Wicomico County Council, presented by Council President John Cannon.
Guests enjoyed a delicious spread of food showcasing Bagel Bakery Café’s offerings, while attendees also had the opportunity to win door prizes, including $100, $50, and $25 Bagel Bakery Café gift cards available to both members and non-members. Chamber member The Juicing Gal, joined the festivities and offered samples of her delicious nourishing juices to all present.
