Thursday September 11, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. Google Meet Link Hearing Notice
Written information is currently being accepted at dldliprevailingwage-labor+utility@maryland.gov, and the deadline has been extended through 5 p.m. on September 18.
The hearing will be recorded. The attendance of an interested party at the hearing constitutes consent to being recorded. Additionally, a court reporter will be transcribing the hearing. To obtain a copy of the transcript, please contact Free State Reporting at (800) 231-8973.
Please review the AGENDA and familiarize yourself with the process below to ensure that the discussion is as constructive as possible.
♦ Due to overlap, we are combining discussion of the first two issues (establishment of new classifications and craft crosswalk).
♦ The new classifications proposed by participants are listed in the agenda.
♦ We will discuss each proposed classification in turn. Proponent(s) of establishing the classification will speak first, and offer information in support of their position. We will then hear from any participants who wish to speak in opposition, or who have a different position. Each speaker will have five (5) minutes to make their initial points.
♦ This will be an informal discussion. However, in the interests of time and to make sure we are able to hear from all who wish to speak, we ask that organizations coordinate to avoid repetition. For example, if an organization has more than one representative in attendance who wishes to speak, please identify a single representative to speak on a given classification. Similarly, if organizations have submitted identical written comments, we ask that they be mindful not to repeat one another during the discussion.
♦ The Commissioner may ask questions at any time.
♦ After the discussion of the issue of additional classifications, the hearing will proceed to a discussion of the cross-walk and then the issue of a separate utility category following the process described above.
