Fruitland, MD – As part of the Baltimore Ravens’ Eastern Shore Takeover tour, We Are Limitless Studios (WALS) had the honor of unveiling a powerful new mural at Crown Sports Center—a collaboration more than a year in the making. The mural marks the third installation in the Ravens’ Paint the State Purple program, designed to connect the team with communities across Maryland through public art that reflects both the Ravens’ values and the identity of each location. Painted by Brandon Bell of WALS, with creative support from Joseph Isek, Chloe Kuykendall, Sahra Era, Deserea Martin, and his brother Bryan Bell, the mural brings together symbols of community impact, local pride, and limitless potential—embodied through a young figure surrounded by birds that each represent a core value, from education and environmental responsibility to unity and strength. “This mural celebrates both the identity of the Lower Eastern Shore and the values of the Baltimore Ravens, told through the imagination of a young man envisioning his limitless potential,” stated Bell. “Each bird surrounding him represents a core pillar of community impact and possibility, with the raven serving as a symbol of strength, unity, and the unwavering spirit of the Ravens organization.” The mural unveiling was one of the most vibrant and celebratory events WALS has ever experienced. As part of the Ravens’ multi-day caravan tour—which included stops at elementary schools, a Delmarva Shorebirds game, and a presence throughout Ocean City—the Crown Sports event featured Ravens cheerleaders, mascot Poe, the Marching Ravens, community leaders, and local families, creating a high-energy environment centered around art, sport, and togetherness. We also want to give a special thanks to Allen Swiger with the City of Salisbury, whose advocacy helped catch the eyes, ears, and minds of the Ravens—ultimately sparking their interest in bringing this initiative to the Shore. His behind-the-scenes efforts played a vital role in making this collaboration possible. “I’ve had a vision from the beginning with We Are Limitless Studios, and that was to increase the access to public art for all by going above and beyond what we’ve traditionally seen here on the Shore,” added Bell. “I’m looking to take things up as many notches as possible—and believe me, this is just the start of what you’ll see when it comes to these kinds of partnerships and collaborations here in our region.” This mural serves as both a celebration of Eastern Shore identity and a testament to the power of art as a unifying force. We extend our gratitude to Crown Sports Center, the Baltimore Ravens, our creative team, and all who helped bring this vision to life.
