Becker Morgan Group is pleased to announce J. Michael Riemann, P.E. and Brenden D. Frederick, AIA, LEED AP were named to the Engineering-News Record (ENR) MidAtlantic 2019 Top Young Professionals list. This award recognizes 20 design and construction professionals from across the region under the age of 40 who are leaders in their industry and communities. A panel of industry judges considered criteria including experience, education, career and industry leadership, as well as community service.
Michael Riemann, P.E., Principal first joined the firm as an intern while in high school. Upon graduating from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Michael joined the firm full-time. Demonstrating strong technical competency and leadership skills, Michael was named a Principal in 2018. He played a vital role in the opening of Becker Morgan Group’s Newark, DE office, strengthening the firm’s statewide presence, experience and diversity. Michael is an active member of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of Delaware where he has served a multitude of roles, including serving as President, and is currently the National Director, representing the state of Delaware. Michael’s peer attests to his leadership, “Professional Engineers are expected to practice ethically and competently and keep in mind the protection of the public in all that they do and represent. Michael exhibits these characteristics every day in the time and energy he gives to the technical and professional groups he so proudly serves.”
Brenden D. Frederick, AIA, LEED AP, Associate Principal joined the firm after graduating from Tulane University with a Master and Bachelor of Architecture. He serves as project manager for a multitude of projects including educational, public safety, healthcare, commercial and multi-family residential. Brenden helped establish the intern development program and enjoys providing valuable hands on experiences for each intern. He has impacted all levels of the firm with his inclusive leadership style, mentorship, and enthusiasm for his work. Brenden serves on numerous civic and professional boards, including being an appointed member of the Salisbury Historic District Commission, President of the Rotary Club of Wicomico County and has served in numerous leadership roles for AIA Maryland and AIA Chesapeake Bay Chapter. He is currently serving as the AIA National Strategic Council Representative for the Mid-Atlantic Region. Brenden’s peer attests to his dedication, “I admire Brenden’s willingness to take on any role or responsibility, small or large, to make a meaningful contribution to our organization.”
