“Uniting the Eastern Shore for a Brighter Future through Mentorship”
Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Eastern Shore (BBBSES) is pleased to announce its Giving Tuesday celebration. The International Day of Giving takes place on December 3, 2024. The celebration will support the agency in providing holiday cheer to children and families facing adversity throughout all nine counties of Maryland’s Eastern Shore. These critical funds will support life-changing mentorship programs, enrichment activities, and resources for local children in your community.
This year, BBBSES will host a Giving Tuesday Open House, offering in-person information sessions for families and potential volunteers at its offices at 200 West Main Street in Salisbury, Maryland starting at 9 AM until 3 PM. BBBSES hopes to match local children in need of guidance to a mentor who will encourage building life skills and open doors to new opportunities. The agency will offer visitors donuts in the morning and pizza in the afternoon.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Eastern Shore will continue its Giving Tuesday celebration at Brew River Restaurant in Salisbury, Maryland. Brew River will host a Big Brothers Big Sisters Giving Tuesday Happy Hour from 5-7 PM and donate 15% of proceeds to directly support vital, life-changing programs and enrichment of local children in your community. All community members are invited to join the agency in its joyful start to the holiday season. BBBSES will be accepting new, unwrapped toys for children aged 6-17. Gifts will be given to local children facing adversity throughout Maryland’s Eastern Shore. One meal, one drink, and one mentorship at a time can truly change the outcome of one young person.
