Salisbury, MD – The spirit of giving was on full display as Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Eastern Shore hosted its much-anticipated Santa’s Open Charity Golf Tournament presented by Harrison Group on Saturday, December 2nd, 2023. The event, held at The Ocean City Golf Club brought together golf enthusiasts, sponsors, and supporters for a day of fun and fundraising in support of the organization’s mission to enrich, support and mentor local youth facing adversity. One hundred and sixty-eight golfers came together to donate gifts for local children in their communities. These gifts will be distributed to the children at the agency’s Holiday Gathering.

The chair of the event was Jimmy Sweet of the Delmarva Shorebirds. The commitment to supporting the local community and investing in the future of youth is truly commendable.

Immediately following the tournament reception was held and awards were presented for first, second and third place and closest to the pin for both courses. First place winners on Seaside were Charlie Wanger, Tony Trunk, Pete Scofide, and Jim McNulty. First place winners on Newport Bay were Bryan Taylor, John Walker, JP Parry, and Kerwood Barrand.
